This Position is available 20minutes outside Ipswich on a large property.

The client lives in a workers cottage on the property and is bed bound with complex needs. Which means they have been unable to maintain the house as the family has been busy providing there care needs and maintaining the property.

We need someone who understands neuro divergence and complex physical needs who can help with the domestic tasks and help them get their house safe and clean and liveable and then help them maintain it on a regular basis.

Located in East Brisbane

Aged 25-40

multiple positions open throughout the week (east Brisbane)

in home support and community access

requirements of Job (participant has a dynamic disability will be different each day)

Assistance with personal care (help dressing, socks and shoes, applying cream and lotions, capacity fluctuates day to day)

Coregulation

Assistance with accessing community

Must be good with dogs and understand Pet care

Experience with working with complex childhood trauma and helping the person regulate including working with autistic and neurodivergent trauma in a neuro affirming way

Support with meal prep and meal planning

Support with making appts, phone calls, going to pharmacy, remembering medications.

Support with putting medications into medication organisers

Must have the following qualifications or be willing to get them

Cert3 individual support (or similar) or equivalent industry experience

Yellow card

Police check

Blue Card

Trauma informed care certification

Neuro affirming care certification

Manual Handling

Ndis Induction Modules

Assistance with medication
Supported decision making

Experience with the following

Autism (previous experience working with autism and the associated physical conditions) and an understanding of the co-occurring conditions that can come with autism.

Previous experience working in a team

Previous experience working with dynamic disability

Previous experience working with and in the queer/lgbtiaq+ community (have a connection to the queer community and a understanding of queerness)

Would also suit people who love seeing people grow and build capacity

They have goals of building there capacity to be able to get back into doing the things they love again.
