We are a small but mighty collection of thinkers, dreamers, and creatives.
Our journey began when the medical system gave up on me and I realised, that their was hope, there was treatment and the judgments they made weren’t correct and I wasn’t the only person that had been let down by a under resourced overwhelmed medical system.
Our vision is to become a social enterprise made up of people with varied lived experience, that helps breaks down the existing barriers to care and recovery that currently exist.
our vision is that regardless of your economic status or support you get the support and life you deserve.
Currently people face barriers to access, diagnosis and support and we envision a world where accesibility and access and diagnostic barriers do not exist and more disabled people are able to participate in the world fully in the way they want to.
Because everyone misses out when people are left out or excluded.
The ideas wonderland’s mission is to empower inclusion through information, by lifting up the voices of pwd and people with lived experience and by ensuring that we build systems that ensure that no one gets left behind on purpose and every gets a go.
Our mission is to ensure that no one is an acceptable loss and that people voices are not ignored.
Building community to care for PWD that services then back up.
That PWD aren’t just sitting at the table, that we are as involved in the processes as we want to be. Not as involved as someone else decides we are allowed to be.
That by involving more diverse disabled voices we get more innovative design and a brighter more diverse world.
we believe Disability activism and changing the systems that oppress the people we work with is an integral part of the work we do and we cant improve people lives meaningfully without incorporating activism in a meaningful way.
person centred vs system centred
It is our responsibility to look after each-other and build community
