Prue has over 15 yrs combined experience in disability, children, Not For Profit, policy , reform and management in the sector.
They have sat on organising committees and boards, and have extensive experience with the structure of small to large organisations in the care, NDIS and health sector. Prue is extremely passionate about ethically consulting with companies to help them work the best they can and to also be as accessible as they can be.
Prue loves working with neurodivergent people to help them get the best support and find systems that work best for them, and is also a passionate advocate for people with complex needs trying to navigate the system.
They are also passionate about misdiagnosis and getting people the correct plans and treatment and self advocacy.They Believe in continued training and ongoing learning and growing.
Prue went into working in lived experience after the system gave up on them, their first project was in social media trauma informed suicide prevention and young people, while doing this they developed a trauma informed suicide prevention training program. They recently had the interesting and validating experience of running into an old case manager at a conference with that practitioner exclaiming they were surprised prue was still alive (practitioners please don't do this).Prue has several complex psychosocial, mental health and neurological conditions which also cross over into their physical health which has made them passionate about holistic (whole body care).
Prue’s lived experience includes ASD (including co occurring conditions of Hypermobile Ehlers danlos, POTS, Gastroparesis, Kyphoscoliosis, Epilepsy, Non epileptic seizures, dystonia, ARFID,Sensory processing disorder), ADHD, DID, Complex PTSD, Post traumatic Psychosis.
They have also worked with ABI, Reisel diesel, PTSD and adjustment disorder after sudden onset of disability ie( hemorrhagic strokes when teenager), BPD.
